Submission guidelines

In the general program there will be two types of communications:

  • oral presentations (25 min. + 5 min. discussion)
  • poster presentations (with an optional short oral presentation)

Since there will be no parallel sessions only a limited number of oral presentations will be scheduled. For this reason, there will be a selection process and all proposed communications will be peer reviewed. If you want to submit a communication to NEEDS 2009, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Please send us an extended abstract (with references) summarizing the contents of your communication. The length of this extended abstract for the peer review process should not exceed 2 pages.
  2. The abstract should be written in LaTeX, preferably in the format of the conference (format.sty). For your convenience, you can edit the following template.tex
  3. In order to upload the abstract of your talk proceed to the submissions form.
  4. Submission of proposed communications will open on Jan 20th and close on Feb 28th. Due to the review process this deadline will be strictly observed.
  5. Auhtors submitting a poster will be given the opportunity to complement their poster presentation with a short (5-10 min) oral presentation (optional).
  6. Please note that authors proposing communications in poster and oral form are both required to submit an extended abstract.
  7. Accepted communications will be announced on Mar 15th.
Please note that due to time limitations, not all communications initially proposed as an oral presentation can be allocated. In this case, the author will be given the opportunity to present the communication as a poster with an optional short oral presentation.
