Airport Information
The most convenient airports to reach L'Ametlla de Mar are the following:
- Barcelona-El Prat Airport: This is Barcelona main airport which has a large number of international connections and is located 140km north L'Ametlla de Mar. Click here for instructions on how to reach L'Ametlla de Mar from this airport.

- Girona-Costa Brava Airport: This airport is 250km north L'Ametlla de Mar and has a many flights to European cities by Low Cost companies. Participants traveling from this airport are advised to go to Barcelona by one of the frequent buses and then to go to Barcelona Sants Train station and from there follow these instructions.
From Barcelona Airport to Sants-Estaci� Train Station
The most convenient way to travel from/to the airport is to take a train from the airport to Sants Station. Trains (operated by RENFE) depart every 30 minutes, the trip takes 25min and the ticket costs 2.5EUR. Alternatively you may take the bus (called
Aerobus) or a taxi (around 25-30Eur with luggage).
From Barcelona Sants Station to L'Ametlla de Mar
The village of L'Ametlla de Mar is connected by frequent trains from Barcelona Sants Station to L'Ametlla de Mar. The trip takes one hour and a half and you can buy the tickets at the the train Station (it is not possible to pay with credit cards). You can check the timetables and prices at Renfe website:
Please note that timetables may change without notice. You can also take one of the frequent buses to Salou train station and, from there, take a train to L'Ametlla de Mar (same timetable as before).
From Reus Airport to L'Ametlla de Mar
From the small airport of Reus you can take a bus or a taxi to Tarragona train station (about 10km north, not to be confused with "Camp de Tarragona" station) and then take a train to l'Ametlla de Mar. Buses from Reus airport to Tarragona are operated by "Hispano Igualadina" and you may find the timetables

From L'Ametlla de Mar train station to the hotel
The hotel is a couple kilometers far from the train station. On Friday June 15th (arrival day for NEEDS 2007 School) and Sunday June 17th (arrival day for NEEDS 2007 Workshop) we have arranged a shuttle service from the train station to the hotel at the arrival of every train coming from Barcelona. If you plan to arrive on a different day you can either call the hotel (+34 977 45 77 91) once you arrive in L'Ametlla and we will try to pick you up, or maybe simply catch a taxi from the station to the hotel.
